Togo TrainingChad Vanden Bosch, Technical Projects Coordinator for ASM, just returned from Togo, West Africa where he spend two weeks training national believers in basic digital audio recording. The training took place at the Kempton Memorial Hospital near the town of Adeta. Those trained have already begun recording a Scripture translation in the Ewe language. There are over 1 million Ewe speakers in Togo where the literacy rate hovers around 50%. There is a huge need for audio Scriptures not only in Ewe but in many of the 40 languages spoken there. As well as recording Scriptures, two of the technicians were trained in music recording. Music touches the people's hearts andLive Recording there is a huge demand for Scripturally sound Christian music in the languages of Togo. During those two weeks over 30 songs were recorded, mixed and master onto CD's. These songs of faith and encouragement are already making an impact in the hospital wards and surrounding areas. IT is exciting to think of how the Lord will continue to use these Scripture songs to reach the people of Togo. Please pray for this project as it gets off the ground and for ASM as we continue to provide technical assistance and support.
