India: Rocked with the Good News of Jesus Christ

In the first three months of 2008, we had already distributed more Scripture kits than we have in most years. Here is a small excerpt from a recent report from World Cassette Outreach (WCOI) in India.

“We had distributions at Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. We were in the tribal field and met missionaries and families living in the interior forests of Orissa. The anti-conversion bill is implemented in the state of Orissa. The believers in Orissa underwent a time of persecution in the months of December 07 and January 2008. Many people fled their homes and many churches were destroyed. We happened to meet some of the believers who fled to the jungle and stayed there for a number of days before their return to the families. They didn't have any contacts with their evangelists after coming to their homes. During those times the cassette player and the scripture cassettes were their source ofencouragement and it was such a blessing to them. The recorded Word brought them the much needed comfort and consolation at this difficult time. They extended their heart felt gratitude for WCOI and all the donors who were behind this provision.
