The Yines people of Peru remain hidden because they choose to be. This nomadic tribe is scattered in four primary locations in the jungles of Peru. Estimates place their population at 2,500 to 4,000 people. Although they speak some Spanish, their heart language is Yine. Official literacy rates state that from 40 to 60 percent cannot read. Audio Scripture Ministries partners with several national ministries in 
Peru. ILMAV (Impactando las Lenguas Minoritarias con Audio Visuales) is comprised of national Peruvian believers with a heart to reach the minorities of their own country. This project is the result of this concern. Right now, the Yine New Testament is being recorded in audio. When completed, the audio Scriptures will be available in digital Scripture players.
