Here is a great example of Mozambican gospel music at its purist. This accapella recording done by the 27 voice choir showcases the strong vocal parts that are characteristic of this style of music. The lyrics are predominantly in the Tsonga language with occasional injections of Portuguese and English. Tanani Church choir is an outreach of Tanani Evangelical Wesleyan Church located just outside the town of Xai-Xai in Southern Mozambique. These songs were recorded at Estúdio Coroa da Victória(Crown of Victory Studio, Xai-Xai Mozambique) in August of 2007.
