A New Studio Begins in Peru
We are excited to join with our national partners in Peru in the establishment of a new recording studio. This recording studio is strategically located in the city of Pucalpa in the jungles of central Peru. The focus of this studio is to record and distribute Scriptures in the languages of more than a dozen remote jungle tribes that have been identified as having a need for Scriptures in audio form. The first of these recordings, in the language of the Ticuna people, should be completed later this fall.
This studio will be run by two Peruvian men named Mardin and Manuel who are from Pucalpa. They each have many years of audio recording and radio production experience and are looking forward to putting that experience to use recording Scriptures for their own people. Many of the langauge areas identified as needing Scripture recordings are quite isolated and only accesible by boat. Mardin and Manuel have asked for your prayers as they travel to these areas to identify needs and locate readers for the recordings.
It is partnerships like this in Peru that allow ASM to multiply our efforts and make the most efficient use of our funding. Through partnerships like this, we are helping to bring God's Word in Audio to places it has never been before!
