First Audio Scriptures for the Makhuwa
For the first time ever there are Scriptures available in audio for the Makhuwa people of Northern Mozambique! After many months of recording and editing done by Sergio and his staff at Crown of Victory Studio, the New Testament recording has been completed. There are about 2.5 million Makhuwas in Mozambique where 2/3 of the population is still illiterate. There has been a growing anticipation surrounding this project, and we are excited to see how the Lord will use this recording...
Code Names mean people listen*
*In this part of Africa, we need to use code names such as Orang, to
protect the work that is going on and the people who are responding.
Rejoice with us!
The cassettes have been and are still a blessing to the Orang* community. The tapes with the book of Genesis and one with church songs were really appreciated. It is the first time the Orang could listen to recorded songs and the word of God. The recording of the book of Genesis attracted the elders and older people. They said “This man is reading something that we hear only in the Churches.” Some also said “we are happy now to listen to the word of God in our own language and we are happy to listen to somebody from our own tribe reading to us in our own mother tongue.”

First Scriptures for the "Robba"
In the restricted areas of East Africa, this group of "Robba" folk (a
code name) now listen to the gospel of Luke in their heart language. This is the first gospel ever
available for these people, and it was published at about the same time
as the recording. This creates a greater interest in literacy, as they
hear God's Word.
